The Photo Gallery below shows some of the artwork that was entered this year. We were very impressed with the quality and the diversity of entries.
This is our signature event, and we include art, music, food and a silent auction, to help raise money for the Foundation. We had music from Oliver Graham and Don Leino, Skyla Rayne and The Cincinnati Ambassadors.
We also want to thank our sponsors, including RD Winery, Napa County and its Arts & Cultural Advisory Committee, and the many businesses and individuals that donated to our Silent Auction. The art will continue to be on display until Sunday, June 14, based on the Winery’s hours of operation (Thursday – Saturday, 10am to 7pm; Sunday opens at 10am). We will breakdown the show at approximately 1pm.
We are also using the show as the basis for our June “Third Thursdays” event. We’re calling it “Ekphrastic Poetry,” in which you are inspired by a piece of art (from the Extravaganza) and then create a poem to express your feelings and inspirations. We have a number of creatives that have signed up for our June 18 session. This should be a very interesting program and you can learn more about it here, or contact Cherol Okrassa for more information.
