Community Mosaic – Check it out!
After five years in the making, our Community Mosaic is now installed and ready for viewing!
Working with Nimbus Arts and several community groups, we began this project shortly after the new Boys & Girls Clubhouse in American Canyon was opened. Originally, we planned to install it on the street-facing side of the new building, but due to the delays in getting the project completed, we actually installed it on the City’s new Napa Junction Community Center.
The pictures below reflect the many phases of the project. It was truly a community project, with residents (from the former Mayor to small children) all helping to finish the work. Covid and needing to find a permanent home to finish the project all contributed to extending the length of the project, but all’s well that ends well!
Eventually, we discovered Wes Horn out of Davis, who was able to finish the work, and install the art on the Multi-Purpose wall of the new Community Center.
