Fall Student Art Contest – Winners Announced
A reception for our Fall Student Artists was held on Wednesday, December 10 in Supervisor Belia Ramos’ City Hall office. At that time, the winners were announced:
- Scarf Lady, a drawing by Vinx Martinez, took First Place and received a scholarship for $500;
- Self portrait wearing filipinana, a painting by Isabella Macias, took Second Place and received a scholarship for $250; and
- Golden Tide, a photograph by Wyatt Hesser, took Third Place and received a scholarship for $150.

In addition to the top three artists, a “People’s Choice” was announced. It went to Aidan Agtarap for his drawing entitled “Princess of the Moon.” He received a $50 scholarship. Two other artists received an Honorable Mention for using the Contest’s Theme in their work (“Cultural Diversity: How It Impacts Our Community”).

The other contestants received a gift card from Starbucks and a one year membership with the American Canyon Arts Foundation. Overall, we received 18 entries.
The Napa County Library will also professionally frame the top three art pieces and display them in the American Canyon Branch Library. The other works will be on display in Supervisor Ramos’ office.
