Juneteenth Line-up
Our Fifth annual Juneteenth Celebration is Wednesday, June 10. This year we will be part of the Chamber’s very successful Meet Me in the Street event. Our Juneteenth program will take center stage at Northampton Park, with the festivities coinciding with the Street Fair hours: 5-8pm.
Juneteenth was officially recognized as a Federal Holiday in 2021. Although Juneteenth falls on June 19, our Juneteenth Celebrations have been held on Father’s Day in prior years. This year it moves to the second Wednesday of June, based on the Chamber’s schedule.
With Brenda Knight’s retirement, we are now working with Mark Elliott of A-List Musiq Circle to provide a wide range of entertainment.

The Basketball Court will act as our stage, with the following acts set to perform:
- 40+ Double Dutch Club Jump Rope Performance
- Throwback Music w/DJ
- Nitro Dunk (basketball)
- Line Dancing with Rachelle Henderson
Meanwhile, we’ll have another area along the park trail (near the City’s brand new Restroom!), in which there will be additional performers:
- Ryan Allay Acoustic Guitar
- The Best Intentions – Street Corner Doo Wop
- Arial Marin & James Earley
We even have the Prescott Circus Stilt Walkers, who may be delivering handbills and entertaining the crowd.
Billed as the Juneteenth Festival and Cultural Exchange, the intent is to give people attending the Meet Me in the Street event an incredible evening of entertainment and still learn something about Black Culture and Juneteenth in particular.
The Juneteenth Celebration is free and open to the public. As part of the Chamber’s Meet Me in the Street program, you also will have access to dozens of food trucks, and over 100 vendors. There’s a classic car show, magicians and other street performers and the Street Side Saloon, where you can purchase beer, wine and specialty cocktails.
Funding for this event comes from a variety of sponsors, and we are truly grateful for their support. Our largest sponsor is Napa County, whose Arts & Cultural Advisory Committee has supported our efforts for several years. In addition, North Bay Health is a major sponsor this year, along with the Napa Valley Vintners, Mark & Cheryl Joseph, and AmCan Plaza LLC (Canyon Plaza). Rounding up our sponsors is Mayor Pierre Washington and Millie Binz of Binz Accounting.
