Mosaic Dedication
On behalf of the American Canyon Arts Foundation (ACAF), you are invited to our dedication of the Community Mosaic art project. This ribbon-cutting event will be held on Thursday, August 20, at 6pm. The mosaic is located at The Mikolajcik Center, 300 Napa Junction Road in American Canyon.
In addition to the dedication, we are also hosting an Open House, to let the public learn about upcoming programs and events planned by the Foundation. There will be refreshments served, and light entertainment.

We also want to thank the two artists whose creativity were the inspiration for the finished design: Anne Pentland and Yarra Bolla.
The original concept for the mosaic came from Nimbus Arts, which has undertaken a number of community mosaics–using community members to turn art into a finished mosaic. With this in mind, we began soliciting funds in 2018 and invited the American Canyon community to create the mosaic in 2019 and early 2020.
Covid threw a major wrench in the project, and we spent the next three years working out the details on how to install the work and where. By 2025, these issues were resolved and Wes Horn actually installed the mosaic at its current location. The final step in the process, this dedication, was planned to coincide with our Open House and “Third Thursdays” program.
Call for Members: Artists: Exhibit Your Artwork.
The American Canyon Arts Foundation invites artists to exhibit their artwork at the Community Mosaic Dedication on Thursday, August 20, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. You may display up to three pieces of artwork. Please arrive at 5:00 PM to install your work. Each artist is responsible for setting up, supervising, and collecting their artwork at the end of the event. To confirm your participation, please text your name to Yezuri Landa at 707-307-2569.
