Pumpkin Path 2024

Our annual Pumpkin Path event is back!

On Saturday, October 5, from 10-2 (while pumpkins last!), we will host our pumpkin painting event at the Wetlands Edge Park. This is a free event for the general public, and it’s a great community event: the Parks Foundation, the 4H Club, and other groups will also have activities that day.

The idea is simple: pick one of our pumpkins, find a spot at one of our shaded tables, decorate your pumpkin and place it along the path (get it?) at Wetlands Edge Road. Some tips we learned over the years: don’t paint the entire pumpkin–that tends to speed up the decaying process! Also, painting it all black can have the same effect. We want your artwork to survive!

This is a fun event for the kids, but parents are welcomed, too! No need to sign up in advance–just show up on Saturday, October 5 and be ready to be creative!
