Second Parol Workshop on October 25
Our second of three workshops will be held on Saturday, October 25 at the Mikolajcik Center, 300 Napa Junction Road, Room 5. The workshops are from 10:00am to Noon. They are also free, thanks in part to a grant from the Napa County Arts & Culture Commission.
The workshops are led by Luchi Marte, who is also organizing the upcoming Parol Festival and Competition on December 6, 2025. At each workshop, Luchi will go over the basics of creating a Parol lantern. We supply the materials and tools to build a small parol.

After the workshops, we encourage everyone to enter their Parol lanterns in our annual Festival and Competition. It is free to enter, and the top artists will receive cash prizes. We also partner with our FilAm Club of American Canyon to provide Filipino foods and refreshments.
The Parol Festival and Competition will be held on Saturday, December 6, at the Multi-Purpose of the Mikolajcik Center. It starts at 6:30 with a short parade of Parol’s and their creators (from Room 5 to the multi-purpose room!), followed by refreshments and then we announce the winners.
